چکیده
The development of rice genotypes with impressive tolerance to abiotic stress is one the primary objectives breeding programs. current study was carried out assess capability different indices identify that are drought-tolerant under Egyptian conditions during two growing seasons 2018 and 2019. Thirteen drought were calculated using grain yield twenty genotypes. According combined analysis variance for yield, there highly significant differences between (G), irrigation regimes (I), their interactions. All indices, as well yields non-stress (Yp Ys), exhibited variations among For Yp, Ys, all assessed, estimates broad sense heritability (h2) genetic advance a percentage mean (GAM%) high. Using performances, multivariate analysis, Giza 179, Sakha 104, IET 1444, GZ 6296-12-1-2-1 superior both conditions, 107, IRAT 170, IR 68552-55-3-2, WAB 56-104, IRGA 318-11-6-2-6, NERICA -4 conditions. Hence, it suggested they can be utilized parents in hybridization programs aim improve other Egypt. Furthermore, productivity index (MP), geometric (GMP), (STI), harmonic (HM), (YI) classified better predictors considering potentials

Evaluation of Drought Tolerance in Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) Under Water Deficit Stress Conditions
Drought is a threaded factor in the world production and application of breeding methods could improve the tolerant and adapted cultivators under drought stress condition. In order to evaluate and determine the stress tolerance indices and identifion of tolerant genotypes to drought stress, 15 safflower genotypes were evaluated in a randomized complete block design with three replications in tw...
متن کاملEvaluation of Drought Tolerance Indices for Selection of Superior Genotypes in Black Cumin (Nigella sativa L.)
Drought stress is considered as one of the most important constraints to the crop production, including medicinal plants in many arid and semi-arid regions. This study was carried out to determine the most effective indices for drought tolerance and identification of tolerance genotypes under drought conditions in N. sativa. For this purpose, 36 genotypes of N. sativa were tested as a split plo...
متن کاملEvaluation of Drought Tolerance in Barley Genotypes (Hordeum vulgare L.) using Drought Tolerance Indices
Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: Drought stress is one of the most important factors in reducing yield and barley production in rainfed arid regions, and counteracting or reducing the effect of stresses as a useful solution to increase barley yield. Therefore, improvement of stress-tolerant and suitable barley cultivars for arid and semi-arid regions is essential. Material and Me...
متن کاملEvaluation of grain yield and repeatability of drought tolerance indices for screening chickpea (Cicer aritinum L.) genotypes under rainfed conditions
In order to identify drought tolerant chickpea genotypes, an experiment was conducted in the west of Iran, during 2007-2009 cropping seasons. Several selection indices were used to illustrate genotypic differences in response to drought stress. The results of combined analysis of variance showed that year, genotype, stress conditions and their interaction effects were highly significant. Correl...
متن کاملDrought Tolerance of Several Tomato Genotypes Under Greenhouse Conditions
Growth and production of agricultural crops are greatly affected by water shortage. Thus, yield enhancement under drought conditions is a major goal of plant breeding. Four commercial tomato cultivars (Imperial, Pakmore VF, Strain-B and Tnshet Star), a drought-tolerant breeding line (L 03306) and their hybrid combinations were selected in this study to evaluate drought tolerance and to develop ...
